Associated Transport
Associated Transport was the largest us LTL carrier until the early 60's when CF passed them in revenue.

Associated Transport new International DCO-405 sleeper just being delivered. Notice the spare wheel and the fifth wheel not installed. The photograph is from the mid 1960's. This photograph was given to Don and the origin is unknown. An Associated Transport KW. An interesting combination. Here is a wild Associated Transport photograph. An old Freightliner with aluminum wheels on each wheel position.

AT was one the earliest large users of Ford NT850 diesel tractors when they developed them in the 60's. This photo taken at the relay terminal in Knoxville, TN in 1966. Don Querciagrossa Collection. Associated Transport International R190 is typical of their road fleet of the early and middle 50's before completely converting to diesel tractors. Don Querciagrossa collection.
